Located in Shaoxing, this university teaching complex explores the inheritance of spatial and cultural heritage. Inspired by traditional Jiangnan courtyards, the design utilizes an innovative cascading approach to transform horizontal layouts into multi-dimensional vertical spaces. By interweaving modern materials such as glass, metal, and concrete, the architecture grants traditional elements a transparent and lightweight contemporary expression. The progressively layered vertical courtyards resemble an open book, fulfilling modern academic and educational needs while creating a sky courtyard floating in the sunlight.
