Located in the Wenzhou countryside, this project is an architectural practice that reimagines poetic Oriental dwelling within a compact 200-square-meter site. The design translates the traditional Chinese courtyard through a modern lens, accommodating a fully functional two-story family home with exceptional spatial efficiency. Faced with a limited footprint, the design cleverly adopts a strategy of spatial division, breaking the volume into multiple intimate micro-courtyards. This precise interlocking of courtyards not only enriches natural lighting and landscape layers but also perfectly achieves the traditional Chinese garden experience of shifting views with every step, creating a tranquil and elegant retreat for contemporary rural living.
